UFC 136 - Edgar vs. Maynard predictions

We all know Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard can put on a show. They're two bloodthirsty, 155-pound pit bulls with attitude. But someone's walking out of UFC 136 with a championship. The other will leave alongside a broken face and bruised ego.

So who's the top dog at 155?

For us at XT46, look for Maynard to take this, but in another tightly contested brawl. Maynard is hungry and we know he wants the gold around his waist. The only blemish on his record is a draw from the duo's last contest. And remember, Maynard has beaten Edgar before.

A slight height advantage for Maynard doesn't hurt, but won't be the deal-breaker. Neither Maynard nor Edgar has major knockout power - the two have a combined 4 knockouts in their professional careers.

One thing is for certain: Their rematch at UFC 125 was a fight for the ages and we're sure these two gladiators won't disappoint come Saturday. Fight of the year 2011? Maybe not. That honor might go to Edgar-Maynard II earlier this year.
